Greene County at Carroll

Team Scores:

  1. Carroll                174
  2. Greene County     191

The Carroll Tigers started off the spring golfing season with a great team win against Greene County. The day brought with it 15 mile per hour winds that made it difficult in some holes to get a straight shot. Despite the wind, the Tiger’s top two players, Drew Munson and Ty Nissen, were able to walk away with great individual showings, with Munson being the medalist and Nissen walking away as reserve medalist. Munson shot 38 while Nissen was right behind him with 39.

Munson shot well on the day scoring pars on holes one, two, four, seven, eight and nine. Munson’s difficulties came in the third, fifth, and sixth holes where he shot bogies. Nissen would shoot an eagle on hole two, but would get a double bogey on hole four and a bogey on holes six, seven, and eight. He recovered well after the double bogey though, getting a par on hole five and nine. The Tigers’ other top golfers would be Collin Shultes who shot 48 and Bryce Berlau who ended his day with 49. The Tigers finished off the day with a team score of 174 compared to Greene County’s 191.
