Two local Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) students will be members of the Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) with the opportunity to work on a newly donated vehicle. General Motors recently presented the program with a 2020 Cadillac XT6. Chair, Jerry Burns, says the DMACC ASEP students, including Zach Spoelstra of Templeton and Wes Borkowski of Audubon, will use this high-technology-equipped vehicle for hands-on training. The XT6 includes a nine-speed automatic transmission, 3.6L V6 engine with variable valve timing and active fuel management, an active sport chassis system, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, forward collision alert, rear cross traffic alert, Cadillac User Experience (CUE) and much more.
