The Carroll Police Department responded to a non-injury accident at approximately 2:53 p.m. Tuesday at Grant Road and 12th Street. Twenty-one-year-old Lucas Thobe of Carroll was northbound on Grant Road in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado and slowing for traffic. Eighty-year-old Carol Schmidt of Manning was also northbound in a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, but failed to slow and rear ended the Thobe truck. Functional damage to both vehicles was reported. Schmidt was cited for failure to maintain control.
