Housing Workshop And Action Following Closed Session On Agenda For Monday’s Carroll City Council Meeting

The Carroll City Council will again hold a workshop and a closed session at the conclusion of their meeting Monday, April 12. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says there will also be a delay to livestreaming as the council will meet at the Carroll Public Library at 5:15 p.m.

This is about $10,000 under budget and the foundation’s fundraising is at $2,496,085.36. The final check will be presented Monday. The library tour is open to the public. The council will hold a public hearing on the annexation of Olsen’s Outdoor Power and Carroll County Solid Waste, who requested connection to sewer services.

Final approval will happen at the state level. Pogge-Weaver says they will then return to the quiet zone study.

The workshop scheduled for Monday is again on housing within the city limits.

They will again enter into a closed session per Iowa Code 21.5(1)(c), “To discuss strategy with legal counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent and where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the government.” They are anticipating taking action on the matter after returning to open session. The general public can join the meeting via telephone, Zoom or YouTube or they can watch it on CAAT 6 local access cable beginning at 6 p.m. Details on how to join as well as the full agenda can be found by following the link included below.
