Despite 25 mile per hour winds and colder temperatures, the Carroll Tigers defeated Boone on Monday. The Tigers finished in first place with a team score of 179 compared to Boone’s 191. All four of the Tigers’ golfers scored in the low to mid 40s. 

 

Collin Schultes for the Tigers ended his day tied with Layden Losh of Boone with a score of 43. Losh was awarded medalist honors as Schultes ended his day with runner-up medalist honors. Schultes played well up until hole seven where a triple bogey hurt his day’s total. Ty Nissen played two strokes behind Schultes scoring a 45 on the day. Nissen had similar troubles on hole seven but still scored well on the day. Bryce Berlau tied with Nissen at 45 while Drew Munson was one stroke behind both of them, scoring a 46 on the day. The other Tigers who were in action included Will Ragaller who ended his day with a 51 and Conner Kirsch who finished with a score of 52.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden-Ralston at Carroll Country Club

The Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston boys were in action Monday at the Rolling Valley Conference meet. The Crusades would end the day finishing in second place with 190 points, behind meet champions Exira-EHK with 184 points. The Wildcats would finish in sixth place with 217 team points. 

 

Four golfers for the Crusaders would score in the mid to high 40s and two scored in the low 50s. Preston McAlister shot three strokes behind runner-up medalist Clay Roberts of Boyer Valley, scoring a 46 on the day. He would score two pars and four bogies despite wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour at times. The other Crusaders shooting in the 40s include Jacob Estrada, Jeffrey Kracht, and Josue Ramirez. 

 

The Wildcats ended their day with two golfers scoring in the low 50 and two scoring in the high 50s. Tyler Brant and Caden Wenck both scored a 51 on the day with Brant having a better first half and Wenck improving by hole six. John Whitver and Caden Smith were the other two Wildcats scoring in the 50s on the day.

 

Cory Bantam of Woodbine earned medalist honors with a score of 39, whereas Clay Roberts of Boyer Valley earned runner-up medalist honors scoring a 43 on the day.

The East Sac Raiders were able to finish off a cold and windy day with a second place team finish on Monday. The Raiders finished with 181 points, behind eventual champions Newell Fonda who finished with 160 points. Four Raiders finished the day with scores in the 40s with the other two finishing in the lower 50s.

 

Dylan Meredith played well despite the weather conditions, finishing with a 42. Jackson Stoltenberg finished two strokes behind Meredith with a final score of 44. Joel Halbur and Caleb Villhauer were the other two Raiders who finished in the 40s, with a 46 and 49 respectively. The other Raiders in action Monday include Bradyn Burns who ended his day scoring 50 and Joe Langbein who scored a 51. 

 

Both medalist and runner-up medalist honors would go to Newell Fonda. No information was given as to who from Newell Fonda received each honor.

IKM-Manning at Tri Center

The IKM-Manning Wolves were victorious after a cold and windy match against Tri-Center Monday. The Wolves were able to walk away with the overall team win with 278 points against Tri-Center’s 292 points. They also saw two of their players sweep medalist and runner-up medalist honors.

 

Tyler Brandt played well and earned himself medalist honors, scoring a 39, three above par. Kyler Rasmussen scored two strokes above Brandt with a 41 on the day, which earned him runner-up medalist honors. Two other Wolves scored in the mid to high 40s, those golfers being Max Nielsen with a 45 and Connor Richards with a 48.

AHSTW at Audubon

The Audubon Wheelers brought home a team win a medalist honors against AHSTW Monday. The Wheelers finished with a team score of 186 versus AHSTW’s 195. Four of the Wheelers would score in the 40s, three of them in the higher 40’s. 

 

Joey Schramm was able to golf well despite less than desirable weather conditions, scoring a 43 and earning medalist honors. He scored two double bogies on the day, but kept sharp with four bogies and three pars. Aiden Alt ended his day tied with eventual runner-up medalist Nate Jorgensen of AHSTW with a score of 47. Jay Remsburg and Carter Andreasen both ended their day with a score of 48. The other golfers in action were Teddy DuVall who scored a 52 on the day and Derek Bald who scored a 56.

The South Central Calhoun Titans competed in high winds and walked away with a team victory Monday against Southeast Valley, Alta-Aurelia, and Storm Lake St. Mary’s. The Titans ended the meet with a team score of 199, ahead of Southeast Valley (204), Alta-Aurelia (209), and Storm Lake St. Mary’s (211). The Titans also saw two golfers who scored in the high 40s and two in the lower 50s. 

 

Corey Hicks ended his day with runner-up medalist honors with a score of 47. Justin Hanks would score two strokes behind Hicks with a 49 on the day. The three golfers who ended their days with 50s included Bryan Steig with a score of 50, Keaton Daniel with a score of 53, and Brady Schumacher who scored a 56. The other golfer for South Central Calhoun was Chance Roeder who ended his day with a score of 68.
