The Storm Lake Police Department reports a Buena Vista University (BVU) student was taken into custody Tuesday after a package containing marijuana products was intercepted by campus security. Authorities say the package was originally mailed from California and was addressed to 21-year-old Christopher Ramirez of Lancaster, Calif. Officers made contact with Ramirez Tuesday, and he was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Buena Vista County jail for controlled substance violations, a class D felony. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond. BVU Security assisted in the investigation.
