Carroll girls battled a windy cold day along with a very good Carlisle club that improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the Raccoon River Conference. The loss drops the Tigers to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the Raccoon River Conference.
Jayden Kirsch was under pressure early but held up well as the Wildcats took nearly 10 shots on goal in the first 15 minutes of the match. Several of their shots were breakaways by Tessa Erzen and Madisson Watts. The Wildcats broke through with their first goal on a breakaway with 27:41 in the 1st half. They added a second goal with 25:07 left in the 1st half and built a 5-0 lead by half.
The Tigers had a shot to score in the 1st half as Trista Reis had a shot on goal. That would be their only scoring opportunity for the match. Carroll improved in the 2nd half getting the ball on the offense end and had a few breakaway opportunities but Carlisle recovered well and took any chance at a shot on goal away.
Carlisle used the wind at their back in the 2nd half and was able to score quickly getting their first goal at the 36.50 mark and 2nd goal of the half at the 32:47 mark. That put them ahead 7-0. The final two goals came 1:21 apart.

Kuemper went on the road to face the 2nd ranked Titans on Monday and fell to 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference. The Titans improved to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference.
The Knights were able to get a few shots on goal against one of the better defensive teams in Class 2A. Kenya Prescott had two shots on goal and Catherine Mayhall added a shot on goal. Ashlyn Badding finished her night in the net with 16 saves while Lauren Boell added 12 saves.
