No injuries but an estimated total of $8,000 in damages were reported from a Monday accident in Jefferson. The Jefferson Police Department responded to the scene in the 1000 block of West Wall Street at approximately 7:37 a.m. The initial investigation revealed Jerry Dennhardt of Jefferson was pulling out of a private drive in a 2011 GMC K2500 pickup, but he crossed over into the oncoming lane while doing so. He struck a 1994 Chevrolet C1500 truck, driven by Robert Knight of Jefferson. There was a reported $5,000 in damage to the Knight vehicle and $3,000 in damages to the Dennhardt truck.
