In an annual beautification project, the City of Lake View is partnering with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Lake View Hometown Pride, the Lake View Community Club and the Black Hawk Lake Protective Association for shoreline clean-up. They are inviting volunteers to grab their gloves, brush loppers and even a chainsaw and to join them at 8 a.m. this Saturday, April 24, at the open shelter house in Town Bay. They will distribute work orders for teams to assist with picking up trash along the shoreline as well as trimming and removing volunteer trees in designated areas. The work will last throughout the morning and all volunteers will be treated to lunch provided by the Lake View Hometown Pride members.
