Kuemper finished in a tie for 3rd place with Spencer Purple team and Carroll was 8th at the 18 hole tournament on Thursday. The Knights shot a 337 while Carroll High finished with a 351. Spirit Lake was the champion with a 312 winning by 23 strokes over Clear Lake who was 2nd with a 335. The Tigers were one stroke behind Cherokee for 7th place in the nine team tournament.
Drew Munson led Carroll with an 81 and finished in 6th place overall. Mithcell Badding of Kuemper tied several golfers including Ty Nissen of Carroll with 82’s. Badding would earn a 7th place finish with the tie-breaker. Nissen finished outside the top 10. Maverick Schawbe of Kuemper shot and 84 and Carter Putney added an 85. For Carroll Bryce Berlau and Will Ragaller each had a 94.

South Central Calhoun swept the medal honors on Thursday at Twin Lakes with a solid showing. They beat West Bend Mallard by 19 strokes with five of six golfers shooting under 50. Corey Hicks paced the Titans with a 36 and won Medalist honors, Justin Hanks had a 40 and was runner up medalist. Bryan Steig shot a 44, Brennan Holder a 45 and Keaton Daniel finished with a 49.

IKM-Manning headed to Nishna Hills in Atlantic on Thursday and came home with a 7 stroke win over Exira-EHK on their home course. The Wolves continue their strong start with five golfers shooting 46 or better. Kyler Rasmussen was the low scorer of the day with a 38 and won Medalist honors. Tyler Petersen of Exira-EHK was just behind Ramussen with a 39 and was Runner-Up Medalist. Tyler Brandt continues his strong start to the season with a 40, Max Nielsen shot a 44, Zach Willenborg a 45 and Grant Gear had a 46.

Coon Rapids Bayard At Rolling Valley Conference Meet At Anita

Coon Rapids Bayard finished 3rd with a 189 at the Rolling Valley Conference Meet held at Anita. The Crusaders shot a 189 with three golfers in the 40’s. Boyer Valley took 1st shooting a 178 while CAM Anita was 2nd on their home course with a 184.
Cory Bantam of Woodbine, Caden Nielsen of Boyer Valley and Logan Lawrence of CAM Anita all finished with 43’s the low scorers. Jacob Estrada led Coon Rapids Bayard with a 45, Josue Ramirez had a 46 and Preston McAlister ended with a 48. Jeffrey Kracht was the other golfer that scored for Coon Rapids Bayard and he finished with a 50.

East Sac fell on the road on Thursday, losing to Pocahontas Area by 26 strokes. The Raiders had two golfers in the 40’s and five guys’ shoot 52 or less. Dylan Meredith paced the Raiders with a 43 followed by Joel Halbur with a 47, Jackson Stoltenberg with a 50 and Caleb Villhauer and Bradyn Burns each shot a 52.

It was a tight loss for the Wheelers as they dropped the match by 3 strokes on the road Thursday. They shot well with four guys shooting 50 or better but LoMa has five guys shoot 48 or better.
Jacob Fetter of LoMa edged Jay Remsburg of Audubon for medalist honors with a 42 while Remsburg was Runner-Up Medalist with a 43. Joey Schramm had one of his best rounds this season with a 44 followed by Aiden Alt with a 48 and Carter Andreassen with a 50. The Wheelers contine to be led by a different golfer nearly every night.
