Carroll High and SCC Girls Golf Teams Pick up Team Wins Thursday; East Sac, Audubon, and Coon Rapid-Bayard also in Action

Carroll at Perry

 

The Carroll Tigers finished below 200 as a team and grabbed both medalist honors against Saydel and Perry Thursday. The Tigers finished in first place with a team score of 197, followed by Saydel with 239 and Perry with 242. The top four golfers ended with scores from the low 40s to the low 50s. 

 

Grace Pettit ended her day atop the pack with a score of 42, good enough to get herself medalist honors. Laura Sweeney ended her day eight strokes ahead of Pettit, scoring a 50, still good enough to give herself runner-up medalist honors. Ashlee Danner was not too far behind Sweeney, ending her day with a score of 52. Delaney Schurke wrapped up the scoring for the Tigers, ending her day with a 53.

Audubon at LoMa

 

The Audubon Wheelers lost their matchup against LoMa by one stroke Thursday. LoMa won the meet with a team score of 235 while the Wheelers had 236. Ond of Audubon’s golfers ended her day with medalist honors, ending the day on a good note. 

 

Sydney Beymer ended her day with a score of 53 and earned herself medalist honors. She won the tiebreaker against LoMa’s Audrey Roden, who also got a score of 53. Allison Elmquist beat her season average, ending her day with a 54. Audubon’s two other scorers were Kali Irlmeier who scored a 62 and Madison Vorm who ended her day with a score of 67.

East Sac at Pocahontas Area

 

The East Sac Raiders finished their golf meet against Pocahontas Area with a runner-up medalist Thursday. Pocahontas Area ultimately won the meet with a team score of 223 compared to East Sac’s 246. 

 

Sidney Bieret ended her day scoring a 51, earning herself runner-up medalist results. Josee Slama of Pocahontas won medalist honors with a score of 48. Lauren Litterer wrapped up her day finishing with a 57. East Sac’s two other scorers include Jamie Pierce who ended her day with a score of 62 and Cianna Johnson who ended her day with a 76.

West Bend Mallard at South Central Calhoun

 

The South Central Calhoun Titans walked away Thursday with a team win over West Bend Mallard and both medalist honors. The Titans finished the day with a team score of 221 while West Bend-Mallard finished with 254. The Titans’ four top golfers ended their days scoring in the low to high 50s. 

 

Allison Stokes ended her day with a score of 53 and earned herself medalist honors. Emma Anderson’s day ended well as she scored one stroke ahead of Stokes with a 54 and earned herself runner-up medalist honors. Sayer Steig continued the scoring for the Titans ending her day with a 56. Macy Macke rounded out the scoring for South Central Calhoun, completing her day with a 58.

Coon Rapids Bayard at CAM

 

Coon Rapids Bayard finished in third place at a Rolling Valley Conference golf meet Thursday. Boyer Valley, CAM, Exira-EHK were also present at this meet. Boyer Valley won the meet with a team score of 189, followed by CAM with 207, and finally Coon Rapids Bayard with 218. Exira-EHK’s team score was not recorded as they only played two golfers. 

 

Alaya Betts led the Crusaders in scores, ending her day with a 51. Brynn Bass ended her day closely behind Betts scoring a 54. Lauren Derner wrapped up her day with a score of 56. Morgan Hart, Emma Hart, and Macy Winnet all ended their days with a score of 57. Morgan Hart was credited as the fourth golfer to add to the Crusaders team score.
