Monday’s Carroll City Council meeting will again begin with a tour, delaying the start of livestreaming from City Hall to 6 p.m. City Manager, Mike-Pogge-Weaver says last year, the UV disinfection system at the wastewater treatment plant was completed, but due to COVID-19, a tour for council members to view the project was delayed. Once reconvening in council chambers, members will begin with items on the consent agenda. This includes an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT).
The council will also review the preliminary and final plats for the Simons Subdivision.
This is outside of the city limits but within the two-mile regulatory area. They will also review the water system risk and resilience assessment emergency response plan before reviewing a request by the Chamber of Commerce for a street closure.
The intersection will not be closed. The Chamber is exploring options of having others bring in beverages for these events as well. The Carroll City Council meetings are still closed to the general public.
