Marvin Felix, son of Arthur and Regina (Grossman) Bruch, was born August 17, 1944, in Carroll, Iowa. He grew up on a farm south of Arcadia. Marvin attended grade school at St. John’s in Arcadia and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1962. Marvin then farmed with his father until he entered the U.S. Army in 1966.
On May 14, 1966, Marvin was united in marriage with Rita Broich at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia. Marvin served as a member of Sacred Heart Church in Manning, where he taught CCD for 13 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Knights of Columbus. Marvin cherished spending time with his grandchildren, playing board games and cards, taking walks together, having sleepovers, and attending their ballgames and school activities. He always enjoyed listening to them, their thoughts and plans.
