The Lake View City Council has selected a Sioux City engineering firm to complete a load study on the community’s electrical system. On Monday, the council voted unanimously to approve the $25,400 agreement with DGR Engineering. According to Administrator, Scott Peterson, Lake View is expecting a notable increase in demand on their system with construction at the East Sac County High School, EVAPCO’s pending expansion and other projects occurring in town. DGR will be analyzing customer needs, line quality and connected electrical equipment over the summer months. The majority of Lake View’s system was installed within the last 20 years, and Peterson says this is primarily a precautionary measure to ensure they are equipped to handle the anticipated increase to demand.
