Kuemper battled hard at 6th ranked Tri Center on Friday trailing just 2-0 at half but the Trojans were able to keep pressure on the Kuemper defense and eventually wore the Knights down. Kenya Prescott and Catherine Mayhall each had tough shots on the goal forcing one handed saves by Tri Center. Those stops kept the momentum in Tri Center favor. Tri Center stretched the lead in the 2nd half dropping Kuemper to 7-6 on the season while the Trojans improve to 10-2.
Kenya Prescott, Catherine Mayhall and Kiley Trecker each had two shots on goal for Kuemper. Ashlyn Badding finished with 19 saves in the net.
Kuemper host West Central Valley-Nodaway Valley on Monday.
