Boil Order Issued For Southern Half Of Arcadia

The City of Arcadia has issued a boil order for customers on the southern half of town. According to Mayor, Kevin Liechti, city crews discovered a water main break Monday near Corning Street. The break was repaired at approximately 6:30 p.m., but the boil order was necessary due to a loss of pressure in a segment of the system. Customers south of Corning Street, including homes located on Corning, will need to boil any water used for consumption for at least one minute or use bottled water. This includes making ice, brushing teeth or washing eating utensils. The water can still be used for bathing and laundry. The order will remain in effect until the system tests clear of any potential contaminants. Carroll Broadcasting will make an announcement once the boil order has been lifted. Residents with questions can contact Arcadia City Hall at 712-689-2442.
