Randy G. Hoffman, age 56, of Carroll, IA, passed away peacefully at his home in Carroll on Sunday, May 9, 2021 surrounded by his family.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service.
Those in attendance at Randy’s visitation and funeral service are asked to abide by Covid-19 guidelines and facemasks are required at the funeral home.

Randy was born on November 20, 1964 in Carroll, IA, and he was the son of Richard “Dick” and Eileen (Subbert) Hoffman. Randy grew up in Carroll and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1983. He began painting with his mom and dad as a young boy in their business, Hoffman Painting. Randy was affectionately known as “Hoss” by his friends. He was married to Amy J. Drees on August 18, 1990 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic, IA. To this union two sons were born: Cole and Jace. Randy enjoyed watching sports, socializing with his friends and neighbors and spending time with his family. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Chicago Cubs fan. Hoss was a hard worker, and he was proud of the fact that he painted many of the homes and businesses in Carroll.
Randy is survived by his wife Amy of Carroll; his two sons: Cole and Jace Hoffman both of Carroll; a brother Rick Hoffman (Carolyn) of Templeton; a sister Rhonda Jameson (Steve) Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales; his father and mother-in-law Larry and Connie Drees; a sister-in-law Mindy Johnson (Phillip) of Des Moines; a brother-in-law Cory Drees of Indianola; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Eileen Hoffman.
