Arrest Warrants Requested Following Early Tuesday Morning Traffic Stop In Jefferson

Arrest warrants have been requested following a traffic stop in Jefferson on Tuesday. The Jefferson Police Department reports an officer stopped a speeding vehicle on U.S. Highway 30 near Flack Avenue at approximately 1:31 a.m. During the interaction with the driver, 20-year-old Noah Adam Bowen of Jefferson, the officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During a probable cause search, the officer located a substance suspected to be marijuana wax as well as a smoking device. Bowen was issued a citation for excessive speed and arrest warrants for first-offense possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, have been requested.
