Carroll At Glenwood
Shay Sinnard will go in 4 events to the State Track meet for Carroll High as she qualified in the 100 Meters by taking 2nd place in 13.21, 1st in the Long Jump with her best jump at 17-09.00 and was part of the 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams that qualified. The 4×200 were champions with a time of 1:48.63 with Madison Tunning, Hannah Jorgensen (going in 3 events), Libby Perkins and Sinnard. The 4×100 took 2nd place with the Perkins, Jorgensen, Tunning and Sinnard. They ran a 51.50. Hannah Jorgensen added the 200 Meters to her State trip by taking 2nd place in 26.92.
The Carroll Boys have two events in and could get a pair of relays in as well. Tanner Pontow made it in the 110 Hurdles finishing 2nd in 16.68. He will be joined at Drake by the 4×400 team that were champions in 3:30.94. The 4×400 features Remy Richardson, Colby Christensen, Abraham Dirkx and Zach Dirkx. Carroll finished 3rd in both the Sprint Medley in 1:36.81 with Abraham Dirkx, Cade Schable, Colby Christensen and Zach Dirkx and the Distance Medley with Remy Richardson, Colby Christensen, Zach Dirkx and Abraham Dirkx. They ran a time of 3:48.22.
