The trustee of two charitable foundations, Iowa Savings Bank, has announced the opening of the application process for the July 2021 grant cycle. The Gilbert and Barbara Renze Charitable Foundation makes donations for charitable purposes in Sac and Carroll Counties. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) charities or other qualified entities such as municipalities. Applications are due on or before Friday, July 9 and are available at the drive-up window at Iowa Savings Bank or can be requested by mail or email—addresses for which are included below. Since its inception, the Renze Charitable Trust has distributed more than $714,800. The same application deadline has been established for charities, municipalities and other qualified entities for the Warren H. Timmerman Charitable Trust. This trust has donated more than $1.95 million to charitable projects in Carroll County. Applications for the Timmerman Charitable Trust 2021 grants can also be requested via mail and email or picked up in person at Iowa Savings Bank in Carroll.
