Only Minor Injuries Reported After Car Collides With Semi Tires On Hwy 30 Monday Morning

Only minor injuries were reported after a car collided with tires that had detached from a semi-tractor trailer this (Monday) morning. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at approximately 10:27 a.m. to the scene of the accident on U.S. Highway 30 east of Glidden. According to their initial investigation, a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Arvin Joseph Foell of Kelley, was traveling westbound when it struck a set of wheels that had come off an eastbound 2007 Peterbilt semi-tractor trailer, driven by 21-year-old Brandon Gene Krusen of Mapleton. The Foell vehicle then crossed into the oncoming lane and entered the south ditch. A passenger in the Impala, 70-year-old Jeanne Lynn Foell, reported possible injuries but was not transported for treatment. Damage to the sedan is estimated at approximately $3,500 and it needed to be towed from the scene. The semi sustained approximately $1,500 in damage.
