A Coon Rapids woman charged after leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash in April is scheduled for trial in August. Carroll County District Court records show 25-year-old Kori Anne Scott faces a single count of failure to report a personal injury accident, a serious misdemeanor. Scott filed her written not guilty plea with the court last week, and a judge signed an order setting her jury trial to begin on Tuesday, Aug. 10. The charge stems from an investigation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office into a April 11 incident near Glidden. Authorities say Scott was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Impala on Timber Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed, resulting in injuries to a passenger.
