Carroll and East Sac Boys Soccer End Regular Season with Losses

Carroll dropped to 4-12 overall and 1-8 in the Raccoon River Conference on a rainy night in Perry. The Tigers struggled on offense which put pressure on the defense which had played well. Perry led 1-0 at half but eventually wore the Tigers defense down and scored 4 times in the 2nd half. The Tigers did manage 6 shots on goal but were unable to score for the 8th time this season. Caleb Vanderheiden and Emmanuel Jioklow each had a pair of shots for the Tigers. Treyton Goins finished with 15 saves.

Carroll heads to Glenwood for the opening round of sub-state on Thursday.

Riverside At East Sac

East Sac 0

 

East Sac battled hard and had some really good looks at the net including two tough shots but were unable to score as they close out the regular season 0-14. The Raiders trailed 1-0 at half and tried to tie it up in the 2nd half on shots by Sam Schmitt and Caiden Auen. They were unable to finish the shots and Riverside added a pair of goals to win. They improve to 12-3 on the season.

Luke Wernimont finished with 16 saves for the Raiders who open sub-state on Thursday at Northwestern College vs MOC-Floyd Valley.
