Carroll Corridor Of Commerce 2.0 Public Open House Plan Review Set For Next Monday

After several months of assessment and evaluation of public input, the City of Carroll and RDG Planning and Design will be hosting an open house next week for review of the Corridor of Commerce Plan 2.0. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says the Monday, May 24 event will be held at the Carroll Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will follow their regularly-scheduled council meeting.

They will also look at those dual enhancement opportunities Pogge-Weaver previously identified.

There is also a section on implementation that can be reviewed by attendees. The open house is a come-and-go event without a formal presentation and is designed to give residents the chance to get their questions answered. The comprehensive plan was developed in partnership with RDG Planning and Design, city staff and a broad cross-section of individuals from within the community who formed a Corridor of Commerce subcommittee. Pogge-Weaver adds, the survey and interactive map input from the public was invaluable in developing the plan.

Pogge-Weaver adds the survey results and public input has only highlighted how important it has been to combine this Corridor of Commerce plan with the Retail Coach initiative in their efforts to enhance the quality of life for all Carroll residents. The city will require masks be worn by all attendees.
