Dean Olerich was born March 3, 1955 to Marvin and Evelyn Olerich of Breda, Iowa. He died on May 15, 2021. He was married to wife Dee for 32 years.
Still living family is step-son Dale,(Melody) of Lohrville, Iowa; daughter Jamie (Mike) Booth of Waukee, Iowa; son Greg (Elizabeth) of Leawood, Kansas; and four grandchildren. Brothers are Keith (Donna) of Aurora, Co, Dennis (Sharon) of Carroll, Iowa; Daniel of Lake View, Iowa and sisters Kay (Bud) Stowe of Clive, Iowa; Linda (Kenny) Klocko of Rockwell City, Iowa; and Kristy (Robert) Malone of Boone, Iowa.
He proudly served in the Army and then re-enlisted in the Navy Reserves SeaBees in Sioux City, Iowa. Dean loved children and was a foster parent until he became ill. He alway believed that children deserved to have a safe childhood with a happy home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Ernst Funeral Home, Waukee.
