The Carroll City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, May 24 will be brief as the council will be moving to the Carroll Public Library for the Corridor of Commerce 2.0 open house at 6:30 p.m. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says for the first time in about a year, there will be a change to the general public attendance rules for this meeting.
These meetings will still be aired on local access cable channels and available for viewing and participation by phone or computer. More details on this as well as the agenda and packet of materials are available by following the link included below. Pogge-Weaver says there are a couple of items in the consent agenda that involve purchase policies.
There will be a public hearing and resolution for a second budget amendment prior to the end of the Fiscal Year on June 30 and then they will consider a request from Olsen Outdoor Power. The council had previously approved annexation for Olsen Outdoor Power and they are currently awaiting approval on the state level, which could take quite a bit of time.
One of the final items is a discussion on sidewalks along Timberline Road.
This is supported by property owners and will be part of the city’s street reconstruction project this year. However, there is a design question coming before the council. There was previously a guard rail in a segment of the roadway, but it was no longer required and removed. The council will consider whether or not to bring it back. Monday’s meeting will convene at 5:15 p.m. at City Hall.
