Kuemper 6th, Tyler Brandt Tied for 29th After Day 1 At State Golf

Kuemper and Tyler Brandt of IKM-Manning at Lakeside Golf Course At Fort Dodge- Day 1

Kuemper sits in 6th place after day 1 of the State Golf Tournament shooting a 341 for the day. They trail Lake Mills who leads the event by 22 strokes and are 8 strokes out of a top 5 finish. There is plenty of holes left to play for the nights to make a move up the leaderboard and with the weather expected to be better on Friday it sets up for them to shoot well. Mitchell Badding had the best opening day for the Knights and is tied for 19th place. He came on strong the back 9 after going +7 on the front 9 he was +3 on the back 9 which was the 6th best score on Thursday. Badding finished with 2 birdies, 8 pars and 10 bogeys. Maverick Schwabe of Kuemper was +6 on the front 9 and was consistent all day with a +7 on the back 9. Schwabe had 9 pars and 9 bogeys in his round. The Knights Jack Tiefenthaler was +6 on the front 9 and +8 on the back 9. He 8 pars and 10 bogeys. Carter Putney of Kuemper was +9 on the front 9, +7 on the back 9. Putney finished with 5 pars and 13 bogeys. Tyler Auen of Kuemper shot a 89 and Benicio Lujano of Kuemper finsihed with 96.

Tyler Brandt of IKM-Manning is tied for 29th with a 85. Brandt was +7 on the front 9 and +6 on the back 9. Brandt had 9 pars and 9 bogeys.
