There is a full day of tractor-pulling entertainment planned for this coming Sunday at the Calhoun County Expo grounds in Rockwell City. Expo Treasurer, Hillaree Meyer, says one of their board members is passionate about these events, and wanted to bring it back to the area this year—giving people of all ages something to enjoy.
The pull will start at 1 p.m. on the figure 8 track on the fairgrounds, but the gates will open a little before that to give people the chance to come in and get situated or get food from Smokin’ Grumps.
Meyer says this will be a long pull, estimated to last until about 10 p.m.
Cost for entry is $8 for adults, $4 for children six and up and kids five and under get in free. A portion of the funds raised will support the annual Calhoun County Expo, which was a modified event last year because of the pandemic. Meyer says they are hoping to be back bigger and better than ever in 2021 by going back to the regular fair format and adding even more special events. More information is available on the Calhoun County Expo Facebook page, a link to which is included below.
