The City of Lake View is ready to welcome the unofficial beginning of summer with a full slate of activities this weekend. At 7 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) morning, registration for the Reel Fun Fishing Tournament opens in Town Bay with the first Farmers’ Market of the season in the Market Square on Main Street and the annual pancake fundraiser for the Log Cabin and Historical Museum at the American Legion Hall from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Garden Club’s plant sale begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, also in the Market Square. Memorial Day services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Veterans Memorial in Speaker Park. At 11 a.m., Jon Quinn and members of the Historic Preservation Commission will then lead a walking tour of the Ferguson Cemetery.
