The Sac City Chamber Main Street is inviting area residents to get the long holiday weekend off on the right foot with live music in the downtown district. The event, “Poppin’ at the Cove”, begins tonight (Friday) at 5 p.m. in the Cattail Cove with live music until 7 p.m. from local artist, Neil Anders. Attendees can also enjoy a meal provided by the Kids World Child Care Center to help raise funds for the daycare provider. City staff are closing Main Street between 5th and 6th Streets at 4 p.m. to allow time for setup, and organizers recommend participants bring a lawn chair with them to ensure there is enough seating.
