Girls State Golf Results Tuesday, June 1st
Class 3A Tournament At River Valley Golf Course At Adel
Grace Pettitt of Carroll High sits in 23rd place after day 1 at the State Golf Meet. Pettitt finished with a 94 after shooting +12 through the first 11 holes. Pettitt bounced up and down the standings throughout the round climbing as high as 9th for a while. She was in the low to mid 20s most of the round. Eden Lorhbach of Gilbert currently holds a 1 stroke lead over Kiki Bruner of Washington. Lorhbach shot a 76 and Bruner finished with a 77. Washington has a 17 stroke lead after the 1st day in the team race. They shot a 340 with Gilbert in 2nd place with a 357 and West Delaware in 3rd after shooting a 383. ADM also out of the Raccoon River Conference is 6th with a 397 and Creston out of the Hawkeye 10 Conference is 10th with a 413.

Class 1A At Ames Golf and Country Club
Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning closed out the 1st round strong after sitting in 22nd-24th place for part of her round she finished well and is tied for 13th after the first day. Powers finished the day with a 90 after going 48-42. Madeline Streicher of Edgewood-Colesburg and Greenlee Smock of Lynnville-Sully are tied for 1st place with each shooting a 77. Kelly Baade of Bishop Garrigan is still in the hunt after shooting a 79. Bishop Garrigan has the team lead after day 1 with a 342. They lead Grundy Center by 30 strokes and Central Lyon byt 35 strokes. Boyer Valley from the Rolling Valley Conference is in 4th place with a 393 and Newell Fonda from the Twin Lakes Conference is 6th with a 399.
