A rough start put Carroll in a hold they couldn’t dig out of as they fall to Carlisle 7-1 on Thursday. Carlisle had four of their first five batters get on base and scored 2 unearned runs to build and early lead. They added 4 runs in the 3rd inning with 2 outs as Carroll falls to 4-6 overall and 0-5 in the Raccoon River Conference.

The Tigers had a chance to add more with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out but Carlisle went to the bullpen and Lexxi Link came in and struck out back to back batters to end the threat. Carlisle stretched the lead to 6-0 with a 4-run 3rd inning. The Tigers had gotten the first two batters out but Caylin Furnal hit a home run and the Wildcats followed that up with three straight singles and an error. Camryn Schable came in for Carroll and got them out of the inning and then pitched well the rest of the game.
