Kali Irlmeier allowed just 4 hits, Audubon took advantage of extra base runners and scored in every inning as they improve to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the Western Iowa Conference. IKM-Manning fought until the end and got a few nice defensive plays from Alikxa McGinn in centerfield but falls to 0-7 overall and 0-7 in the Western Iowa Conference.
The Wheelers scored 3-runs in the 1st inning with the help of a couple errors, walks and hit by pitches. The Wheelers left the bases loaded . They responded in the 2nd inning with 10 batters coming to the plate and scoring 5-runs . Kylee Hartl and Jordan Porsch picked up RBI and Sydney Beymer had the lone hit in the inning.
The Wolves had runners on base in the first two innings with Jessica Christensen singling to lead off the game and Brooke Booth singled in the 2nd but they weren’t able to score. An RBI single by Kylee Hartl and a RBI groundout by Jordan Porsch added to the Wheelers lead in the 3rd. IKM-Manning responded in the 4th with their lone run as Olivia Robison reached base on an error and moved her way around the bases and scored on another Wheeler error. Audubon led 10-1 heading into the bottom 4th. Mattie Nielsen hit a rocket over the centerfield fence. The one out home run ignited the Wheeler dugout and they would score two more runs to end the game.
Hannah Thygesen, Sydney Beymer, Kylee Hartl, Jordan Porsch and Mattie Nielsen all had hits for the Wheelers with Nielsen hitting the home run. Kylee Hartl led the Wheelers with 3 RBI helping to drive in Sydney Beymer who scored a team high 3-runs. Jordan Porsch had 2 RBI. Kali Irlmeier picked up the win going 4 innings, allowing 5 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 earned run.
Brooke Booth led all hitters with 2 hits, Carlee Neil and Jessica Christensen also had hits for IKM-Manning. Olivia Robinson scored their lone run.
Audubon heads to Tri Center and IKM-Manning will visit AHSTW on Tuesday.

Carroll struggled offensively with Josie Ayala picking up their lone hit and Boone pitchers didn’t offer any help as they didn’t walk anyone. Carroll hung tough until the middle part of the game as Boone scored 4-runs in the 4th and 5th inning to end the game early. The loss drops Carroll to 7-7 overall and 0-6 in the Raccoon River Conference.
The Tigers will look to bounce back when they host South Central Calhoun on KIKD 106.7 on Tuesday.

South Central Calhoun scored in every inning but the two biggest runs may have come in the 6th inning as it extended their lead to 9-3. Those insurance runs came in handy in the 7th as the Cougars rallied with 4-runs to lose by just 2. The win moves the Titans to 5-3 on the season. South Central Calhoun scored a pair of runs in each the 1st and 2nd inning. That early lead allowed them to settle in and play with confidence. They scored a run in each of the next three innings.
The offense picked up 10 hits with Emma Geno and Kylee Schleisman each having a pair of hits. Both of Geno hits were doubles. Th Titans had at least 6 different girls score at least a run with Kortney Riley and Kylee Schleisman both scoring twice. Sally Musselman finished with the win in the circle, throwing a complete game, allowing 7 runs while striking out 6.

Ar-We-Va nearly had their biggest win of the young season but couldn’t hold onto a 1-run lead late. The Rockets scored on a Sarah Schurke double in the 4th inning and held that lead until Woodbine tied it in the 5th. The game went into the 7th tied at 1. Woodbine found a way to score a pair of runs in the bottom half to win and improve to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in the Rolling Valley. The loss dropped the Rockets to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in the Rolling Valley. Both teams had outstanding pitching performances only allowing 9 hits combined.
Kora Obrecht led Ar-We-Va with 2 hits and scored on the double by Sara Schurke. Sophie Jackson has the 4th hit, a single for the Rockets. Jadeyn Smith took the loss in the circle, going all 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and only 2 earned runs.
The Rockets will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host Whiting.

East Sac tried to rally after giving up 4-runs on 3 hits in the 2nd inning and had the lead down to 1 heading into the bottom of the 6th but Pocahontas Area scored twice in the 6th and put the game away in the top of the 7th. The 4-run 2nd inning started with a single and had a walk and bunt single ahead of a 3-run single. The Raiders fought back right away though as Bree Boeckman doubled with the bases loaded and drove in 3-runs in the 3rd. Mary Bontrager and Maty Quirk singled to help set up the double for Boeckman. Pocahontas Area added a run in the bottom 4th inning to extend the lead to 5-3. That would turn out to be key as the Raiders got a 2-out single by Kami Ross and a single by Ahleisha Thayer. Ross later scored on a wild pitch and the Raiders were down just 1.
Mary Bontrager paced East Sac with 3 hits while Maty Quirk Aleisha Thayer and Kami Ross all singled with Bree Boeckman doubled for the Raiders 7 hits. Boeckman had 3 RBI. Shelby Geery took the loss going 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and striking out 2.
The loss drops the Raiders to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They host GTRA on Wednesday.

Glidden Ralston had their best defensive game of the season which helped them pick up their first win of the year. They scored a pair of runs in the 2nd inning and never trailed. They responded in the 6th after Whiting scored an unearned run in the 5th to make it a 1-run game. The offense made the most of their 4 hits scoring 4-runs. They showed good patience at the plate working out 5 walks.
Addy Boell got the win in the circle, allowing 2 hits and no earned runs while striking out 5. Morgan Koehler paced the offense with 2 hits, an RBI and a run scored and a pair of stolen bases. Vanessa Koehler and Ashlyn Tigges each had a base hit. Vanessa Koehler, Tiela Janssen, Morgan Koehler and Gretchen Wallace all scored.
The Wildcats are off until Wednesday when they travel to West Harrison.

Coon Rapids Bayard rally in the 7th came up short as they scored 5-runs in the 7th after falling behind 8-0. West Harrison jumped out quickly with 4-runs in the 1st inning and 3 more in the 4th. The Crusaders finished with 5 hits with 5 different players having 1 each.
Emma Hart took the loss but finished with 10 K’s and only 1 walk. West Harrison did hit the ball well with 13 hits. Emma Hart, Miranda Garcia, Breely Clayburg, Shelbi Wiskus and Kadey Olson each had a hit while Garcia, Clayburg, Wiskus, Olson joined Cassidy Baker all had an RBI.
