Authorities across the region are asking residents to be on the lookout for a Sioux Falls, S.D. man wanted for three counts of second-degree murder in Minnesota. Eighteen-year-old Miguel Angel Nunez, Jr. is described as “extremely dangerous” and is believed to be the perpetrator of a June 5 shooting that killed one and injured another in Austin, Minn. Deputies with the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota attempted to take Nunez into custody on Tuesday, June 7, but he was able to elude capture, fleeing on foot. Authorities say Nunez has ties to the Storm Lake area and anyone who believes they have seen him or who have any information on his whereabouts are asked to call 911 or the numbers on the wanted flyer included below. Nunez may have attempted to alter his appearance by cutting his hair or shaving his head.
