The annual Glidden Community Auction is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) evening after being postponed earlier this year due to the pandemic. The Friday, June 18 event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Club on Idaho Street. The auction is slated to begin at 7 p.m. with dozens of items to bid on, including: a three-day, two-night stay at Bridges Bay Resort in Okoboji, donated by Karl Pre-Owned of Glidden; a $500 catered meal from Iowa Corn Processors; and a quarter beef from Stork Farms. The event is hosted by the Haggai Masonic Lodge in Glidden and has been held every year since 1996. Funds raised by the auction are used to support community projects, events and organizations.
