Gilbert At Carroll

Gilbert led the game 7-2 with 1 out in the top of the 5th inning when the game went into a lightening delay. The game was suspended and will be finished on Tuesday, June 29th at Noon. The time might change but the date is set and Gilbert will be up with 1 out and nobody on in the top 5th when they resume.

Gilbert scored 2 runs in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd and 2 more in the 4th. Carroll scored a run in the 1st inning and added a run in the 4th inning.

IKM-Manning nabbed their 3rd win of the season by hitting the ball well and getting a good pitching performance from Treyton Barry. The Wolves offense came out sharp scoring 4 times in the 1st inning. Cooper Perdew had the big hit driving in 3-runs. Woodward-Granger chipped away and cut it to 5-4 heading into the 7th inning. The Wolves responded with a pair of runs in the 7th and held on to win.

IKM-Manning finished with 9 hits and had three players with two hits. Treyton Barry had a pair of hits along with 2 RBI. Brody Blom and Conner Richards both had two hits. Blom scored twice and Richards added an RBI along with scoring. Cooper Perdew had a team high 3 RBI. Treyton Barry grabbed the win going the distance, allowing 8 hits and 4 earned runs along with striking out 3.

The Wolves head to Riverside on Thursday.

Will Ragaller threw a perfect game for Ar-We-Va as they won in 5 innings. Ragaller struck out 12 while not allowing a baserunner. The win improves Ar-We-Va to 7-4 overall and 6-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference. The loss drops Glidden Ralston to 1-9 overall and 1-8 in the Rolling Valley.

Will Ragaller paced the Rockets offensive attack with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Ragaller doubled and scored twice. Blayne Smith added a pair of hits and 2 RBI while scoring twice and Jeffrey Molina added 2 RBI and a run scored.

Colby Wallace and Jackson Sklenar pitched for Glidden Ralston and combined to allow 7 hits and 4 earned runs while striking out 2.

Ar-We-Va will host Boyer Valley on Monday. Glidden Ralston hosts Boyer Valley on Friday.

The Raiders were out hit nine to two but East Sac was in the game until late. They trailed 2-0 heading into the 6th inning but gave up 4-runs in the 6th inning and 6 more in the 7th as the game got away from them. The loss drops them to 1-9 overall and 1-6 in the Twin Lakes Conference.

Luke Wright and Dylan Thomsen both had base hits. Dylan Meredith, Karter Ludwig, Caleb Villhauer and Preston Mauer combined to allow 9 hits and 12 earned runs.

The Raiders will look to bounce back on Friday when they travel to South Central Calhoun.

Audubon had some chances to keep it close early loading the bases in the 1st and 2nd innings but came up empty. Treynor didn’t miss their chances early scoring twice in the 1st inning and 9 -runs in the 2nd inning. The Cardinal took advantage of 8 walks, 4 hit-by-pitch and 6 Audubon errors. The Wheelers did have 5 hits but it came late as they scored a pair of runs in the 3rd and 4th inning.

Braden Wessel led the offense with 2 hits including a double and triple. Ethan Klocke had a base hit, RBI and scored a run. Gavin Larsen doubled and drove in a run and Teddy DuVall doubled and scored.

The Wheelers head to Coon Rapids Bayard on Thursday.

Lance Clayburg has been swinging a hot bat over the last week and it continued on Wednesday as he picked up four hits for the Crusaders. The offense clicked along with him with 15 hits and five players with two hits or more.  The Crusaders blew things open early scoring 5 times in the 1st inning. Boyer Valley battled back with a pair of runs in the 2nd but Quentin Culbertson was on his game on the hill and only allowed 1 more run the rest of the game. The Crusaders scored a run in the 3rd and made it a 6-run game with 2-runs in the 6th inning.

Lance Clayburg drove in 2 runs with 4 hits including a double and a triple. Quentin Culbertson, Preston McAlister, Josh Ramirez and Gabe Obert all had 2 hits. Preston McAlister doubled and drove in 3-runs and Obert had 2 RBI. Quentin Culbertson picked up the win, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 9.

The win improves Coon Rapids Bayard to 13-4 overall and 8-2 in the Rolling Valley Conference. The Crusaders share the conference lead with CAM Anita and are one game ahead of West Harrison and Woodbine. Coon Rapids Bayard host Audubon on Thursday.
