Robert “Bob” Dean Lucht of Guthrie Center

Robert “Bob” Dean Lucht, age 76, of Guthrie Center, IA, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home in Guthrie Center.

   Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at Willow Township Cemetery near Bayard.

   The Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids assisted the family with arrangements.

   Bob was born on September 1, 1944 in Jefferson, IA, and he was the son of Roy August and Louise F. (Carstens) Lucht.  He grew up on a farm northeast of Coon Rapids, and he was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran near Coon Rapids.  Following his schooling, Bob worked for a farmer and then went to work at Oscar Mayer Foods in Perry where he was the floor foreman of the ham boning department.  Bob was married to Janet Barnes in 1967 and to this union two children were born: Adrian and Deena.  The couple lived in Perry and divorced in 1980.  Bob owned and operated the Hawks Nest in Perry until he moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 where he worked as a electrical technician. Bob retired and moved back to Iowa in 2013.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and all sports, and spending time with his family.

     Bob is survived by his children and their families: son Adrian Lucht and daughter Deena Hendrix both of Newport Richey, FL; a granddaughter Kristie Bunce; a grandson Daxon Hendrix; one great-granddaughter Emerie Carley; three sisters: Betty Knudsen (Dick), Jo Ann Grice, and Karen Olesen (Max) all of Coon Rapids; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

     Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers Keane and Timothy Lucht.
