A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass for 67-year-old Leo “Lee” D. Buelt, Jr. of Exira will be held on Friday, June 25th at 10:30 am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Exira. Family Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday evening at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira.
Leo “Lee” D. Buelt Jr. is survived by his children: Austin Buelt and significant other, Amber Smith, both of Ames; Brandon Buelt of Manville, Wyoming and Carrie and husband, Steven Hayward of Atlantic; his grandchildren: Anastasia Muell, Lane Muell and Alexander Hayward, all of Atlantic; Emily-Jean of Colstrip, Montana; and Celeste Smith of Ames; his mother, Leone Buelt of Carroll; his sisters and brother: Kay Davis, Rosie and husband, Rod Wiederin, and Bob & wife, Joan Buelt; his friend and former spouse, Merrie Ann and husband, Rick Sloth of Elk Horn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
