Kenzie Schon had broke the school record for career home runs on Friday night and she added to that total on Saturday with a pair of home runs in the opening game, ripping both of them over the fence on a rope. Her solo home run in the 2nd inning tied the game and her 3-run shot in the 6th blew the game open. Kuemper took advantage of a few defensive miscues by the Tigers to open things up in the 4th and 5th innings. Kaci Peter started the scoring outburst in the 4th with an RBI double, scoring Kamryn Venner, Kyndal Hilgenberg singled and Hailey Ostrander drove in Peter and Hilgenberg to put Kuemper ahead 4-2. Jordan Schwabe doubled to score Ostrander and the Knights had their largest lead of the game. Kenadee Loew and Venner reached on errors, with Loew scoring on a RBI by Melinda Schaefer. Kuemper led 7-2 after 5 innings. Red Oak had a couple more errors in the 6th inning, setting it up for the Schon 3-run home run.
Kuemper finished with 8 hits in game 1 with Kenzie Schon homering twice and driving in 4-runs. Hailey Ostrander had two hits, with a double and 2 RBI. Kamryn Venner and Schon both scored twice. Chloe Venteicher gave up an unearned run in the 1st and a run in the 3rd, picking up the win going 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 4.
The Knights didn’t hit any home runs in the 2nd game but didn’t need too as they leaned on five doubles and 13 hits to steam roll to a sweep of the doubleheader. Red Oak scored a run in the top of the 1st but only had three more baserunners the rest of the game and only one hit after the 1st inning. Kuemper responded with a pair of runs bottom 1st and three more in the 2nd inning. Hailey Ostrander highlighted both innings with a double and scored both times. The Knights sent 10 batters to the plate in the 4th inning, scoring 6-runs to end the ball game. Kamryn Venner doubled in the 4th while Hailey Ostrander, Kenadee Loew and Kaci Peter all singled.
Hailey Ostrander and Kaci Peter each had 3 hits in the 2nd game with Ostrander with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and scored 3 times, Peter scored 3 times. Kenzie Schon and Kenadee Loew each had 2 hits, Schon and Jordan Schwabe both had 2 RBI. Kamryn Venner earned the win, going 4 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run.
The Knights improve to 12-9 overall and sit 5-4 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference. They travel to Shenandoah on Monday for a varsity doubleheader.

Audubon scored early and then hung on late to knock off their co-host of the tournament. Hannah Thygesen doubled to open the game, followed by a single from Sydney Beymer. Both would score on a line drive by Katelyn Nielsen, who then scored on a ground out by Kali Irlmeier. Thygesen and Mattie Nielsen scored in the 2nd ining on a base hit by Sydney Beymer, putting the Wheelers up 5-0. The game stayed that way until the 5th inning when AC-GC added a pair of runs, making it 5-2. Hannah Thygesen returned the momentum to Audubon with a solo home run to left field to start the 6th. The Chargers scored two more bottom 6th but Alexis Obermeier got them in order in the 7th to win it.
The Wheelers finished with 12 hits with Hannah Thygesen leading the way with 3 hits including a home run and a double. Thygesen also led the team with 3-runs scored. Katelyn Nielsen, Sydney Beymer, Johanna Sauers and Addie Hocker all had 2 hits. Nielsen had a game high 3 RBI. Kali Irlmeier picked up the win going 4 1/3 innings with 4 hits and 2 earned runs. Alexis Obermeier pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 0 earned runs.

Audubon rallied for the win in to finish the tournament 2-0 getting a base hit by Addie Hocker in the bottom 6th inning, driving in Jordan Porsch and Michelle Brooks. The rally started with Jordan Porsch walking and Kali Irlmeier reaching on an error before Johanna Sauers walked to load the bases. The Wheelers trailed 4-0 entering the bottom 3rd. They put a couple runs on the board with a pair of freshman stepping up big. Addie Hocker reached on an error and Mattie Nielsen homered over the left field fence. They cut it to 4-3 in the 5th when Mattie Nielsen scored on a passed ball.
The Wheelers managed only 4 hits with Addie Hocker, Mattie Nielsen, Katelyn Nielsen and Sydney Beymer all collecting 1. Mattie Nielsen hit a 2-run home run and her and Hocker led the team with 2 RBI each. Mattie Nielsen also had a game high 2-runs scored.
The pair of wins moves Audubon to 11-6 overall as they head to LoMa on Monday.

Coon Rapids Bayard was in the game until late when Panorama scored seven of their nine runs in the late innings breaking open a 2-2 tie. The Crusaders tied the game at 2 in the 3rd inning but Panorama responded with 3-runs in the 4th, 1 in the 5th and they scored 3 more in the 6th. Coon Rapids Bayard had cut it to 6-5 with 3-runs of their own in the top 6th.
The Crusaders picked up 9 hits to Panorama 10. Cassidy Baker and Alaya Betts each had 2 hits with Betts doubling and scoring. Emma Hart hit a triple, driving in a run and scoring while Shelbi Wiskus added a double and 2 RBI. Emma Hart took the loss allowing just 5 earned runs in 7 innings with no walks.

Coon Rapids Bayard finished the tournament 0-2 as they fell to a very good Underwood team in 5 innings. Underwood came out hot and scored 5-runs in the 1st inning and then added 5 more in the 5th to go up by 13.
Coon Rapids Bayard finished the game with 3 hits with Cassidy Baker having 2 of those and Miranda Garcia picking up the other hit.
The pair of losses drop the Crusaders to 5-12 overall. They head to CAM Anita on Monday.
