Some local residents reached out to Carroll Broadcasting, expressing their frustration due to internet and phone outages with their service company Qwest, who is merging with CenturyLink, a segment of Lumen technology company. After reaching out to several different departments, a representative from Lumen’s corporate communications department responded, saying they are working on the issue. “Our techs are working to restore some voice and network services in Carroll, Iowa,” says Danielle Spears. She says they identified the root cause of the outages as a cut copper cable. “We appreciate your patience and understanding and will share another update as soon as we can,” Spears adds.
