Carroll Woman Accused Of Assaulting Officers During May Arrest Pleads Not Guilty

A Carroll woman charged with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest has been scheduled for trial in September. Thirty-eight-year-old Jennifer Lynn Stricker pled not guilty to four aggravated misdemeanor counts stemming from her May 5 arrest in the 400 block of E. 7th Street. Authorities say she was being taken into custody for assault and criminal mischief when she became combative and attacked officers. Her jury trial is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 14 with a pretrial conference set for Aug. 26. Each aggravated misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines. As of Wednesday, Stricker remained in custody at the Crawford County jail on unrelated charges for trespassing, violation of a no contact order and possession of drug paraphernalia.
