The Knights and Rams got through the second and third innings without adding any runs to the board, but Kuemper in the top of the fourth the Knights returned to form. Three Knights runners scored to give Kuemper their first lead in game two, 3-1. Glenwood responded with a similar inning; three Glenwood runners scored to take back the lead once again at 4-3. After Kuemper’s running game was stopped momentarily in the top of the fifth, Glenwood took the opportunity to score once again with a solo run, leading 5-3.

After Glenwood was unable to score a run in the bottom of the sixth or seventh, the game went into extra innings. A scoreless eighth inning from both Kuemper and Glenwood brought the game into a ninth inning, where Kuemper was able to wrap the game up. Jordan Schwabe started the top of the ninth with a solo home run to give Kuemper the 6-5 run, then Kenzie Schon in the next at bat also crushed a solo home run, to give Kuemper the 7-5 lead.
