Family Resource Center Celebrates Clients’ Selection To Compete In 2022 Special Olympics USA Games

Carroll-based Family Resource Center (FRC) is celebrating some exciting news for two of their clients after they learned last week that they would be competing in the 2022 USA Special Olympics in Orlando, Fl. The chosen athletes, Patrick Gulbranson of Stuart and Jody Sheriff of Greenfield, will be a part of the Team Iowa bowling squad. According to FRC Waiver Service Manager, Eleisca Clayton, Gulbranson has a long history of involvement with Special Olympics. He competed in the 2015 World Games in Los Angeles, Calif. and serves on the Iowa Special Olympics board of directors. Here is his response when he learned he had been selected.

Sheriff also has a lengthy history with Special Olympics. She has participated in two World Special Olympics contests, including traveling to Shanghai, China in 2007. Sheriff was excited to learn she was picked.

The Special Olympics USA Games are scheduled for June 5 through June 12, 2022. FRC staff and supporters with Gulbranson and Sheriff best of luck as they train for the upcoming competition.
