The Jefferson Police Department has requested warrants on drug charges following an investigation. A Fort Dodge man had his vehicle impounded on April 21 and a search uncovered items suspected to be narcotics. Lab results on the items seized came back positive and warrants for 39-year-old Derek Eugene Ott requested. These include possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, both serious misdemeanors, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
