Carroll Judge, Gina Badding, Selected To Fill Vacancy On Iowa Court Of Appeals

Gov. Kim Reynolds announced today (Thursday) she has selected Carroll judge, Gina Badding, to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Iowa Court of Appeals. Badding was appointed to the bench in Iowa Judicial Election District 2B just over two years ago in April 2019. Prior to becoming a judge, she practiced with Neu, Minnich, Comito, Halbur, Neu and Badding, P.C. law firm in Carroll. Badding earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Religion from the University of Iowa in 2001 and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004. The Iowa Court of Appeals consists of nine judges and decides appeals from district courts from throughout the state. Badding will be filling the seat currently held by Judge Richard Doyle of Des Moines when he retires in August.
