The Manning Police Department is reminding residents to check trees on their property as they will begin enforcing the community’s tree trimming ordinance in the coming weeks. Manning city code requires branches that overhang sidewalks must be clipped to allow at least eight feet of clearance. Limbs that extend over streets and alleys should be cut to provide at a minimum of 15 feet between the lowest branches and the roadway.
