Carroll County Public Health Partners With Hy-Vee For Free Vaccinations During State Baseball Tournament

The community of Carroll is welcoming an influx of visitors this week as the state baseball tournaments for class 1A and 2A teams gets underway today (Monday). Carroll County Public Health has announced they will be partnering with Carroll Hy-Vee to offer COVID-19 vaccinations today and tomorrow at Merchants Park. The single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be available for individuals 18 years and up and the two-dose Pfizer vaccine will be offered to those 12 years old and older. Recipients of the Pfizer vaccine can visit their local Hy-Vee pharmacy 21 days after the first dose for the second inoculation. There are added incentives for those who have not yet gotten vaccinated. Individuals who complete their COVID-19 vaccinations with Hy-Vee now through Nov. 1 can receive a $10 Hy-Vee gift card. All recipients at the tournament will get a free Powerade, courtesy of Hy-Vee and the Coca-Cola Company. No appointments are necessary and health insurance is not required. The vaccinations will be given at a special tent set up inside the stadium.
