Online registration for the 2021/22 year at the South Central Calhoun (SCC) Community School District opened yesterday (Monday). Registration information and forms can be found on the district’s website at scc.k12.ia.us and will remain available through Friday, Aug. 6. Returning families can complete the process by logging on with their existing JMC account. New families will need to contact their children’s respective attendance center to gain access to JMC. The phone numbers and emails needed for this can be found below. Individuals who need more assistance with online registration can stop by the high school in Lake City, and the elementary or middle schools in Rockwell City from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Monday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 6. High school students can pick up their school-issued devices starting Monday, Aug. 16 at the high school media center. Seniors can do so between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., juniors from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and sophomores from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Freshmen and any students who missed Monday’s pickups can get their devices from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Open houses will be held district-wide on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students and families to meet teachers, tour buildings and drop off supplies. The first day of classes at SCC is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 23.
