Hurricane Motorsports To Showcase Area Vehicles While Benefitting The Carroll American Legion

Car buffs will be lining up to see some spectacular rolling steel at the first annual Hurricane Motorsports Show and Shine on Saturday, Aug. 14. General Manager, Alec Daniel, says the idea for the car show was born while brainstorming ideas for their Carroll grand opening.

The company will be showcasing their car kits, which Daniel says are based on the Shelby Cobra.

Daniel says everybody he talks to loves the car kits.

They are opening the event to anyone wanting to showcase their prized mode of transportation.

The McLaughlin family enterprises are Home Base Iowa businesses and Daniel says they will use proceeds from the car show to support local veterans and military members. Every dollar of the $10 registration fee will be donated to the Carroll American Legion. Commander, Tony Konkler, says they will use the donations to support upgrades at the facility and to benefit area veterans in a variety of ways. He adds the McLaughlin family’s diversified range of businesses and charitable efforts have brought many benefits to the Carroll area.

There are spots available at the Show and Shine for local vendors. Anyone interested can contact Daniel through the links included below. There will also be a raffle and silent auction with all proceeds going to the American Legion. The Aug. 14 event will be at the Hurricane Motorsports location, East U.S. Highway 30. The public is invited to attend the show at no charge.
