A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Jefferson Police officers when a motorcycle driver attempted to flee during a routine traffic stop. The deputy was attempting to pull over 48-year-old Ryan James Brown of Jefferson at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Brown led authorities on a chase that reached speeds of 110 miles per hour. Brown was eventually taken into custody and booked into the Greene County jail on charges of eluding, interference with official acts and reckless driving.
